DMX-5 covers 5-pin DMX signal cable for controlling moving lights, dimmers and other DMX-addressed fixtures, with lengths running from 1m patch leads up to 50m runs for larger stage and studio layouts. Alongside standard signal cables, the range includes multicore MultiSnake solutions that bundle DMX, power, Cat6 and XLR lines within a single sheath, reducing the number of separate runs needed between control positions, distribution points and rigs.
Also included are termination plugs for correctly closing DMX lines to prevent signal reflection, and 5-pin to 3-pin adaptors for interfacing equipment that uses the alternative DMX connector standard. Together these products support the wiring of lighting control networks across touring, broadcast, theatre and live event installations, where reliable data transmission between consoles, splitters and fixtures is required.
