CEE4 motor cables connect chain hoists to their control units and power distribution, with lengths from 2.5 m up to 25 m to suit varying rigging distances between motor points and control positions. Alongside these, fan in and fan out units, known as motor whips or "motorpiska", break a single multicore feed into four separate CEE4 hoist circuits or combine four into one, using Soca and Harting connectors as required.
These cables and break-in/break-out units are used together to wire hoist motors on trussing, lighting bars and scenic flying systems for stage, studio and live event installations. They allow a hoist controller to run multiple motors from one feed line, simplifying cable runs across a rig, and provide the connector transitions needed between different socket types found on hoists, controllers and distribution equipment.
