Adaptors covers the connectors that bridge different video interfaces, including HDMI, DVI-D, DVI-I, DisplayPort, Mini and Micro DisplayPort, MiniHDMI, MicroHDMI, VGA and BNC breakout formats. Also included is a small selection of audio jack to XLR adaptors for line-level signal conversion. These pieces allow signage, cameras, laptops and playback devices with differing outputs to be connected to projectors, monitors, switchers and recorders on stage, in studio or on a film set.
Options range from compact gender and format changers, such as HDMI female to DVI-D male or Mini DisplayPort to VGA, through to longer adaptor cables up to fifteen metres for HDMI to DVI-D runs where distance or routing is a factor. The range supports quick reconfiguration of a video chain without replacing entire cable runs, and covers common combinations encountered when integrating mixed equipment from different manufacturers and generations into a single signal path.
